Venture Beginners Guide
Using the Venture Website Design CMS is an easy way to build a website of which you can not only be proud of, but is also easy to maintain and add widgets as you go.
All the basics you need in order to put together your first Venture website can be found here in the beginner's guide. We suggest that you should take a few minutes to read through it and you’ll be an expert in no time at all!
Selecting a Theme
The first step to creating a Venture website is to select one of the themes we have to offer. There are well over a hundred themes and colour combinations to choose from and you can take a look by scrolling down our 'Design Your Own' page. This can be a bit daunting to start with as there are so many to choose from, but don't worry, you can change you mind at any point - we'll tell you how to do this later on.
Choosing your website title and new password
After you select your theme, you can choose the name for your website which acts as your website title. this can be changed as often as you like and can be found under the settings tab in your Venture editor. We will initially email you your preferred email address and a temporary password to log into your website.
Once you have logged in to your website for the first time, you will be asked to choose your own password which can be anything you like as long as it is over 6 characters long. This can be changed at anytime too - and we can also reset the password for you if you can't remember it!
You will then be taken through to your account section where you can edit your website, view your website statistics (like how many people have been visiting your website) and view any comments made on your personal blog or form submissions made to your website.
That's the initial set up taken care of - now we need to go onto the next step of adding text and images to your website.
