Columns are created automatically and the column element is removed
Venture have made it easier to create columns on a web page by simply dragging one element beside another one - for example, dragging a text box beside a slideshow. Doing this will create two columns with each element being in it's own column and a column divider line between them. Since columns are now created automatically, the Columns Element is no longer needed or available to add on its own.
Column widths snap to a grid
Adjusting the width of each column is as simple as before - all you need to do is drag the column divider line. To help keep column widths consistent between pages, Venture have introduced a 12 grid system that the column divider lines snap to. You may want the widths of your columns to be completely custom, so you can override this grid by holding "Ctrl" while you drag a column divider line.
Moving, Copying and Deleting Columns
Clicking on a column divider line will show the "Move", "Copy", and "Delete" options for the set of columns selected. We now allow you to delete a set of columns without having to delete all the contents within them. In order to ensure you don't accidentally delete extra content we use a double prompt and tell you exactly what you will be deleting.
New Text and Image Functionality
We've changed how the Text + Image element works. You can now simply drag an image into and out of any text object. This will allow for even more flexibility, helping you create a fantastic looking website.
New Spacer Element
This fantastic new element helps make it easier for you to add blank space within a page. You can place this anywhere on a page to add space both vertically and horizontally. You can also adjust the size of this element to best suit your design.
Next time you enter you editor, there will be a short animation on how these new changes work. We hope you enjoy these new features as much as we do, and we can't wait to bring even more exciting improvements to you in the near future!
